Holidays

Since I've started this blog, I've tried to keep a rhythm of one post per week. I think that, at least for me, this is the only way to make sure the blog does not die an early death. If I wasn't doing the extra effort of keeping up with this schedule, I'm sure post would become more and more sparse, until they'd vanish forever.

One trick that I've used to keep up, considering my lack of discipline and the lack of routine in my life, is to schedule posts in advance. This is particularly true when I go on holidays, I always make sure to schedule posts for the time I'm away plus a couple of posts more, because I know that, when I return, it will take me time to settle and find the time to go back to blogging.

I was sure I'd done that on my recent trip to visit my in-laws, but, to my big surprise, today, when I checked, I've found I had not. No post for this new year yet. Oh my! Me bad.

To make things worse, I'm completely uninspired about what to write.

I know this is kind of lame, but here is a brilliant designer I've just discovered on Ravelry. How's that for a post? Not happy? Maybe a couple of photos of his work? Here you have:

His name is Kieran Foley and I've chosen a couple of examples of the quite original lace patterns he creates, but he also does similarly complex, creative and extremely beautiful colour work that you can check out on his webpage. Enjoy! A warning: his work is not for the faint of heart, also known as beginner and intermediate knitters. This is advanced stuff, but still inspiring and a pleasure to look at and dream... about a future where you'll find the courage and time to knit one of those.
